Shugo's Full History

Our Personal History 

Now if this doesn’t interest you skip directly to Chapter 2 the beginning of Shugo’s history but this gives you some insight as to more about us. 

Jason’s History 

This is history up to Dec 2003.  At this point in my life I’m 34 yrs old with a wife and three children. Own our own home and live in a small town in Central Iowa. 

My career history includes the military as a combat medic, the Az Department of Public Safety, 2 years as a highway patrol dispatcher, and 2 years as a highway patrol officer. Then onto 5 years as a professional firefighter in Central Iowa. 

In that time I’ve owned 3 dogs. 2 Rottweilers and one German Short Hair Pointer. The GSP was the only one that didn’t work for my family and was re-homed. I never had any type of problem with either Rottie throughout their lives and they were never neutered. For breeding/classification purposes one was a pet one was a show quality, neither were ever bred.  

During the highway patrol academy it was commented on by several instructors that even though I’m small in stature I have one of the loudest most authoritative voices they’ve ever heard. This in all my history with dogs is what I’ve used as my main or most common form of correction or discipline. Not meaning screaming and yelling but rather the tone of my voice and volume is very easily understood. 

Throughout all of my careers I’ve been considered one that is quiet and reserved with new people, very well respected by my peers, and one that is always calm and in control of myself regardless of the scenario. In my personal life family and close friends realize I’m very giving and my main weakness in life is being over caring and loyal to family, going overboard for family to the point of self losses.  

I have three children, one from a previous marriage I have custody of and one son with Dionne, Dionne was previously married and has a 12 yr old daughter, now my third child. 

Dionne History 

Dionne has a different past that deals primarily with family and children, they are the primary concern in her life, not careers. 

She’s had 3 children, her first was lost to SIDS at a very young age, her others have grown or are growing to be beautiful young people.  

Her dog history includes several rescue animals. A dobie mix, and rotties. 

2002 Dionne was diagnosed with Lymphoma, 3 times in about 3 or 4 months. Several immediate surgeries later, dozens of tests, dozens of consults and tens of thousands of dollars later the doctors said, oops I guess we were wrong she’s fine. 

2003 Due to medical complications at a very young age of 28 Dionne has to have a hysterectomy which ends any idea of more children, at least of the two legged variety.
